September 23, 2019 |

Read Time: 4 minutes

The Energising Free Yoga Day was conducted on Sunday the 15th September 2019 at Sri Krishna Wellness Yoga & Cultural Centre at Malleshwaram, under ancient trees and amidst nature for yoga enthusiasts to truly experience the traditional and classical yoga. A day of awareness creating an opportunity for nearly over 100 people to learn about the importance and need for the practice of Yoga in the right manner.

The central importance of this day was to break many myths about Yoga. Answering questions like – Can children practice Yoga? Can people over 50 or 60 years of age do asanas? Is there a possibility of Injury at that age? How can that be avoided?  What are the counter poses to avoid injury? What is the best way to practice Yoga?  When and how is Pranayama practiced?  And many more….

Our expert and highly trained teachers answered all these questions on this day.

Energising Free Yoga Day

From just a young age 11-year-old to Smt. Muniyamma a 76 year-old yoga practitioner for over 3 decades attended this event setting a noteworthy example that anybody can practice Yoga.

The truth is – as long you can breathe, you can practice Yoga!  And as long as you breathe properly doing Yoga, you will get all the benefits of Yoga!

Our Founder and Senior Yoga Teacher Ms. Mimi Partha Sarathy, addressed the gathering & started off with prayers to Sage Patanjali and our Gurus as the crowd joined the chanting, enfolding the whole atmosphere & transporting to a spiritual space.  Ms. Mimi also explained briefly the important principles of correct practice of yoga to reap the maximum benefit before the session started.
