Here are some introductory Yogic techniques and postures that will boost your fitness –

The Mountain Pose

Tadasana, the “mountain pose”, is a simple, beginner-friendly Yoga technique.

  • Stand straight on a solid surface; create a small gap between your two feet.
  • Raise both arms and keep them up by interlocking your fingers.
  • With deeply breathing (inhale), raise your both arms.
  • Engage the muscles of your limbs. Keep the bones in your arms fixed with the shoulders in a straight line.
  • Raise your heels and place the weight of your body on your toes.
  • Hold the pose for 10 seconds. Repeat 3-4 times.
  • Breathe in and out every time you repeat the mountain pose.

The Triangle  Pose

Trikonasana, the triangular pose, is an asana (position) that boosts the amount of oxygen travelling through your body. It involves intense diaphragmatic breathing. Students have to breathe through their noses and put pressure on their lungs to contract and extract completely.

When you perform the triangular pose, your lungs open up. Once oxygen supply and blood circulation improve, your heart opens up as well. Overall, your breathing technique will improve massively with this technique. Shallow breaths inhaled and exhaled from the mouth are dangerous for our health.

Such breathing contributes to stress, skin damage, poor circulatory and respiratory health. People who master this pose (along with other Pranayama exercises) at our yoga classes in Bangalore boost their fitness. The Cobra Pose

Bhujangasana is a Yogic pose that strengthens the back muscles. Back problems are a major issue affecting countless Indians. Practicing the Cobra Pose every day can help them fix these issues pretty easily. During this exercise, students have to straighten and stretch their spines.

This stretching also loosens the back muscles. The deep breathing step is a constant throughout the Bhujangasana process. The combination of deep breathing and stretching improves respiratory and circulatory health. The improved blood circulation also makes other internal organs in the body healthier.
